The module 'Molecular Biology Workshop 2: Applications on a Microbial Model' explores advanced genetic and molecular manipulation techniques applied in microbiology. The workshops offer numerous practical exercises enabling students to address microbiological and genetic inquiries using various techniques. These workshops include molecular identification of bacteria, bacterial transformation to introduce a new gene into bacteria conferring resistance to a specific antibiotic, and mutagenesis to study genetic functions and enhance production of alpha-amylase enzyme.
